隨著孩子漸漸長大，牽著他們的時間，越來越少了..
離開家，孩子就必須靠自己的力量，去面對外在的一切
我們的孩子很幸運卻也很辛苦，
幸運的是，他們一出生就同時擁有兩種不同的文化
相對的，因為有著和主流文化不一樣的另一個文化，
我們的孩子，在成長的過程中，有時會感到吃力，或必須多付出一些努力
才得以在兩個文化中，找到平衡，有自信地，在那個最適合自己的位置站立．

協會創立的目的，是希望建立一個互助共享的平台，讓不論是先來後到的台灣人，有機會，聚在一起，在孩子成長的過程中，找到互相幫忙的方法，縮短自我摸索的時間．讓我們的孩子，在面對文化衝擊時，能憑著堅強的自信，坦然面對外在的環境
懷抱著感恩的心，蘇格蘭台灣協會，就此誕生…..

這裏是一個屬於大家的社團，大家用公益服務的方式，爲所有關心孩子的大家，提供個人的專長，也接受其他人的幫助，大家一起互助成長．
也希望透過台灣文化的推廣，讓我們的孩子能夠對自我產生正面的認同，也同時讓主流社會有機會對我們孩子的文化，有更深刻的認識．

We are Scotland Taiwanese Association.
Our children are growing fast, and when they let go of our hands, they will have to explore the world independently.
Our children are very fortunate because when they are born, they have already won two different cultures.
However, they also have to work extra hard to balance two cultures to fit in the mainstream community.

Scotland Taiwanese Association aims to create a platform for Taiwanese and local communities in Scotland to share resources.
Through culture events, it is to encourage our children to understand their identities and the culture from Taiwan. During these activities, our children would build self-confidence and feel positive when they are integrating with mainstream society.
It also allows both Taiwan and local communities to get the opportunities to understand each other and to create a harmonious supporting environment.

Dear friends! How is everything? Miss our home in Taiwan?  
Miss the aromatic smell from the kitchen where our mums prepare supper?
Home is so far away, and we know we all miss it!
As long as we get together, here is our home.
